High-Efficiency Residential Heating and Cooling

A Local 104 crew working for 4 Seasons Heating and Air Conditioning in Hayward have been installing “tight duct” systems that are tested for leakage after the sheet rock goes on. Once the house is sealed, there can be no more than 6% leakage in the duct system, or the house fails. These systems include tight duct, lined plenums, motorized dampers, electronic air cleaners, and furnaces up to 96% efficient.

Furnaces can provide residential heating needs at up to 96% efficiency.

Tom Heise installs a dual zone system. Thermostatically controlled two-speed furnaces are also available.

Many of the newer furnaces are now being installed in the attic spaces.
Mike Common uses his soldering skills to seal a gutter miter.
